About the Role

This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various machines installed at client sites, with approximately 70% of the time spent traveling to Melbourne area clients and 30% visiting clients across Australia and New Zealand.

The Automation Maintenance Specialist will perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, calibrate or configure individual machines, handle partial or complete upgrades, prepare reports, and monitor system performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain E80 system components by performing regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on machines.
  • Configure and calibrate individual machines or devices.
  • Perform partial or complete upgrades on outdated systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports and spare parts lists after completing work.
  • Monitor the E80 system's performance and report any issues to management.
Requirements
  • A technical qualification in the electromechanical field or industrial automation.
  • Proven experience as an electrical, electromechanical, or service technician in automation or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong skills in reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics, as well as mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, and/or FANUC control systems is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Flexibility, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
