Senior Account Manager – Commercial Division | NSW – Sydney



We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to join our Commercial Division in NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with our broker panel, delivering sales and service excellence, and collaborating with Underwriting on the delivery and negotiation of underwriting solutions.



About the Role


  • Develop and manage relationships with our broker panel to deliver sales and service excellence
  • Collaborate with Underwriting on the delivery and negotiation of underwriting solutions
  • Help implement strategic projects to enhance sales capability and drive customer growth in preferred segments
  • Perform effective pipeline management to maximize new business strike rates and renewal retention
  • Support the implementation of sales/go-to-market strategy and business plans to deliver effective and efficient sales operations
  • Display market-leading sales behaviours and use CRM to monitor and develop relationships
  • Gain in-depth broker insight and find alignment to grow Allianz areas of appetite
  • Identify market and industry trends, understand, and anticipate customer needs through business relationships and competitor analysis
  • Act as a point of escalation for broker requests on commercial adjustments, issues, or complaints
  • Participate actively in team meetings and activities and positively contribute to a high-performance culture


About You


  • Experience in the commercial lines of business is required
  • Strategic sales ability including business planning, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence and persuade
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high-quality services and positive customer experiences
  • Ability to identify potential issues, evaluate information, exercise judgement, and create customer-focused solutions
  • Able to plan and prioritise, organise tasks, and manage competing resources and demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating and presenting with clarity, impact, and influence
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse team members towards a common goal
