Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team, responsible for providing expert advice on financial management and strategy.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including board papers, income tax, financial statements, and statutory reports for subsidiaries.
  • Month-End Processing: Execute month-end processing, including accounting journals, reconciliations, and group consolidation packs for the annual report.
  • Operational Excellence: Deliver operational processes specific to the portfolio of subsidiaries.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze and interpret home loans and capital data.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to projects encompassing productivity, process improvements, system changes, and other initiatives.
  • Customer Relationships: Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients in business units, Finance Services, and service providers.
  • Exceptional Service: Provide superior service aligned with the needs and business objectives of the organisation.
  • Professional Development: Actively contribute to process improvement, simplification, and cross-skilling across the RBS Retail Product.

To succeed in this role, you will require knowledge of the financial reporting framework, strong technical accounting skills, and proficiency in Excel. A graduate qualification in a numerate discipline is preferred, along with post-graduate qualifications and experience in financial reporting roles.
