About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our medium-sized IT team. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a key role in advancing our custom-built platforms and integrating new technology within the business.
Key Responsibilities- Designing and Developing Web Applications: You will design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP, Magento 2, and Symfony Framework.
- Working with Legacy and Cutting-edge Technologies: You will work with a range of technologies, including legacy systems and cutting-edge platforms, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Coding Solutions and Reviewing Code: You will code solutions, review other developers' code, and establish coding standards, naming conventions, and programming practices.
- Building and Refactoring CI/CD Pipelines: You will build and refactor Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable deployment of applications.
- Documenting Technical Debt and Assessing Risk: You will document technical debt, assess risk, and implement solutions to reduce technical debt and improve overall system performance.
- Identifying Opportunities for Improvement: You will identify opportunities for improvement in integration, code efficiency, and response times, and implement solutions to address these areas.
- Ensuring Well-documented Technical Knowledge: You will ensure that technical knowledge is well-documented, including technical design, implementation, technical process flows, and changelogs.
- Delivering Business Value: You will deliver business value by tailoring solutions that meet business needs, with a focus on future stability and maintainability with minimal technical debt.
- 7+ years of continuous experience as a Senior PHP Developer
- Extremely deep skillset with PHP development
- Experience with Magento 2 and Symfony Framework
- Experience with AWS (RDS, MySQL, Lambda, EC2, etc.)
- Experience with integration platforms (Workato)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders
- Full-time permanent ongoing role, based in our Sydney Olympic Park office with ample opportunities for career development
