Accountant Assistant Job Description

  • Accountant Assistant
  • $35-40ph+Super
  • Temporary to Permanent
  • 38 hours per week, 8am - 4pm
  • Office Based
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Invoice and Payment Management
    • Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring timely payments and reconciling vendor statements to resolve discrepancies.
  • Customer Account Management
    • Monitor customer accounts, handle collections, and reconcile accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Payroll Processing
    • Oversee employee payroll, including wage calculations, deductions, and compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, collaborating with departments to ensure data accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (desirable).
  • Previous experience in accounting, including AP, AR, and payroll within Australia.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and intermediate Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
