Senior Cost Analyst Role

The Senior Cost Analyst position presents a unique opportunity to leverage advanced skills in cost systems and Excel spreadsheet software to drive accurate and timely financial information delivery.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excellent communication skills to provide technical support to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on large mining projects, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and possessing advanced level skills in cost systems. Familiarity with running reports for extraction of information from SAP is essential.

  • Monthly SAP reconciliation (cost system to SAP) management.
  • Indirect costs reconciliation i.e. flights, accommodation, timesheets etc.
  • Facility and commodity coding assurance.
  • Capital appropriation requests (CAR) preparation.
  • Support RFA and Contract Variations with cost data.
  • Assist with updating package monthly forecasts, trends and contingency.
  • Support capitalisation.
  • Raise Project Cost Transfers where required.
  • Manage the cost control shared mailbox.
  • Provide cost analysis support the project.
  • Ensure compliance to the project controls guidelines and procedures by the project owner's team.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in project controls delivery.
  • Advanced level skills in cost systems (recognised software system).
  • Good excel spreadsheet skills to verify & crosscheck data accuracy across systems.
  • Familiarity with running reports for extraction of information from SAP.
