We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Board as a Director – People & Culture. This governance role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the leadership and mission of an organisation committed to community service and spiritual care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effective governance;
  • Involvement in formulating strategic directions and the approval of strategic plans;
  • Recruitment and management of senior executives;
  • Reviewing, approving and monitoring business performance;
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures;
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and networking;
  • Identifying skills required by the Board and potential candidates for Board positions.
Requirements:
  • Attending approximately 11 Board meetings, and other special meetings as may be called, and serving on at least one Board committee per year;
  • Associated preparation ahead of Board and Committee meetings including reading papers to allow informed contribution at meetings;
  • Participation in relevant learning and development;
  • Some travel anticipated;
  • Attendance in regular conference calls for management, financial reporting and general compliance issues;
  • Annual residential site visits & strategy meetings.
