About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Officer to join our team at the Royal Automobile Association of South Australia. As a Claims Officer, you will be responsible for handling motor insurance claims in a fair and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage motor insurance claims from initial contact to final settlement.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interpret and apply policy conditions to settle claims, ensuring that all relevant information is gathered and considered.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including assessors, loss adjusters, investigators, and solicitors, to resolve claims efficiently.
  • Process claims and associated administration, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Achieve set KPIs and quality targets, consistently delivering high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Motor or similar general insurance claims experience is preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to apply learnings across different scenarios.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The empathy to deal with customers who have suffered a loss.
  • A positive can-do attitude and team ethos.
  • Intermediate PC skills, and experience with insurance-based systems.
