Geologist Position

Our company is seeking an experienced geologist to join our team for a challenging project.

  • Job Description:
    • Assist with the development and implementation of procedures related to open cut geological activities.
    • Undertake production duties to optimize the extraction of ore from surface mining operations.
    • Conduct highwall mapping, drillhole interpretation, and geological modeling.
    • Collect and manage samples.
    • Ore body definition and in-pit mapping.
    • Manage drilling programs including target generation, design, implementation, and data management.
    • Develop 3D geological models and resource estimations to improve geological understanding and grade control definition.
    • Supervise drilling programs.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Tertiary qualifications in Geology or Geoscience.
    • Experience with QAQC and grade control procedures.
    • Comprehensive understanding of open cut mining methods in a hardrock/precious metals environment.
    • Able to undertake daily reconciliations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Previous experience with procedural development and implementation.
    • Previous open cut experience essential.
