The RoleOur ideal candidate boasts a strong academic background, relevant experience, and a passion for travel and varied work conditions. Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software is essential, along with excellent written, presentation, and communication skills. Familiarity with geotechnical disciplines like soil mechanics, rock mechanics, hydrogeology, and geomorphology is an asset.
Responsibilities- Conduct geotechnical investigations, assessments, designs, and construction monitoring at mine sites, waste facilities, open pits, underground excavations, access roads, and building foundations.
- Perform geotechnical, engineering geological, and water resource assessments for pipeline, transportation, community, and power projects.
- Undertake surface and groundwater assessments for environmental baseline studies, water supply projects, remediation works, water management infrastructure design, balance studies, hydrologic assessments, and engineering geology risk assessments.
