Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience as a head chef or in a similar leadership role, preferably in a high-volume establishment.
  • Formal culinary training and a recognized qualification in Hospitality or Culinary Arts.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • A passion for fresh seasonal food and a proven track record of leading and motivating kitchen teams to achieve high standards of service and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire kitchen operation, including menu planning, costings, food preparation, and dish presentation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Ensure the highest standard of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen, and effective control of labor and food costs.
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives, including weekly and monthly figures.
  • Design seasonal menus and maintain daily specials, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • A passion for quality food and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of kitchen operations.
