Accounts Specialist Job Description

Talent Focus is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Specialist to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, conducting financial reporting, and ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of all creditor and debtor accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting, focusing on sales and inventory
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing, payment, and reconciliation of all creditor and debtor accounts
  • Raise prompt payment cheques and allocate to correct general ledger (GL) codes
  • Collaborate with the production department to ensure accurate calculation and loading of shipment payments
  • Allocate payments against purchase orders and/or invoices in the finance system
  • Respond promptly to all creditor queries and customer requests
  • Identify monthly Accounts Payable accruals
  • Process and pay employee expenses and reimbursements
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders via phone and email
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of accounts experience, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or retail industries
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet stringent deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated and able to work within a small team environment
  • Solid understanding of end-of-month processes and procedures
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently reconcile invoices/statements
  • High-level data entry and accounts payable processing skills
  • Strong commercial analytical/reporting and numeracy skills
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Cooperative, friendly, and professional phone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand ERP accounts systems
  • Problem-solving skills with consideration to business impact
  • Capability to perform daily tasks autonomously while being a participative team member
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar certification/formal training in accounts administration is a plus
  • Mandarin speaking preferred but not essential
