About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Housekeeping Attendants to join our diverse Housekeeping team at the Novotel Surfers Paradise.

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors, and service areas. This includes changing bed linen, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and restocking amenities.

You will work in a team environment and be responsible for:

  • Attending to guest enquiries and requests in a timely manner
  • Cleaning guest rooms as required, ensuring they meet brand standards
  • Carrying out allocated cleaning duties to achieve brand standards throughout the hotel
  • Transferring dirty linen and removing rubbish and recycling
  • Safe handling and use of chemicals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A passion for the Hospitality Industry and a commitment to delivering high levels of customer service
  • Unlimited work rights in Australia
  • Availability to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays
  • Previous cleaning experience, with hotel cleaning experience highly desirable
  • A can-do positive attitude and service with a smile
  • A keen eye for detail and good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort using a two-way radio
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Flexibility in your availability to work on a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends and school holidays
  • Understanding of correct chemical usage and manual handling techniques to ensure safe work practices in this physical role
