Job Description

The Behaviour Therapy Program Supervisor role encompasses responsibility for supporting children and families with challenging behaviours, necessitating a person-centered approach to develop tailored behaviour support plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting comprehensive functional behaviour assessments to identify the root causes of concerning behaviours
  • Developing evidence-informed behaviour support strategies that cater to individual child needs
  • Providing guidance and training to families and stakeholders on implementing effective behaviour support techniques
  • Monitoring the efficacy of behaviour support strategies and making adjustments as required
  • Offering supervision to other PBS practitioners to ensure delivery of high-quality care
Essential Qualifications:
  • Passion for supporting individuals with challenging behaviours
  • Registration with the relevant authority as a Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Relevant allied health qualification or equivalent, accompanied by at least 3 years of experience in developing behaviour support plans
  • Understanding of restrictive practices and associated reporting requirements
  • Compliance with necessary checks and certifications including National Police Check, Working with Children check, NDIS Workers Screening clearance, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Driver's License & Vehicle
