Job Description

The successful Broadcast Engineer will join our Australian team in Eveleigh, Homebush, Scoresby or Southbank. This is a full-time role that requires the ability to work under time constraints and provide excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor the mobile unit broadcast engineering operations at remote events.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting while executing changes and engineering updates on the mobile unit.
  • Perform regular cleaning and inventory checks for the mobile unit.
  • Track and report on equipment and system repair and maintenance status.
  • Direct the activities of crew members related to the operation of the mobile unit.
  • Follow through on repairs, inventory needs, and updates.
  • Provide on-site client service and technical support.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience operating a Broadcast Truck solo is essential.
  • You will have a good understanding of outside broadcast workflows.
  • An understanding of SMPTE 2110 is desirable.
  • The ability to work under time constraints.
  • VSM or TFC knowledge and experience with IP Technology is preferred.
  • You must be well organised and able to prioritise work in order of on-air importance.
  • Applicants must have a positive attitude, be able to work to explicit deadlines, pick up new concepts quickly and work closely with colleagues for long periods of time.
