Employment Coach

The Employment Coach is a key position within Workskil Australia Ltd, responsible for the case management of an allocated caseload of up to 80 customers with a prior offender history. The primary objective is to find them employment, with a focus on improving their capacity to work by stabilizing non-vocational issues and building vocational skills and experience.
The role involves case management, with a focus on improving customers' capacity to work, as well as undertaking 'reverse marketing' of customers to suitable employers and running group-based job search sessions to motivate and promote further job placements. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for recruitment and working with those in need, an ability to meet individual targets, and contribute to a strong site team.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Armadale, with a 9-day fortnight and a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. The role offers a competitive salary, with the opportunity to salary sacrifice, and the chance to work with a national not-for-profit and charitable organization.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- A passion and drive for helping people find employment;
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of customers, employers, and staff;
- The ability to assess, match, and refer customers to appropriate job opportunities and to advocate directly to employers;
- The ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs;
- A minimum typing speed of 30 WPM;
- Strong administration skills and IT literacy, data entry, and typing skills, with experience in Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure;
- Previous experience in the employment services or call centre industry or similar.
You will also be required to have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or a willingness to study, and experience in Employment Services or a related Service industry.
