Job Title: Senior Field Officer

About the Role

Senior Field Officers play a pivotal role in supporting early childhood education and care services to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.

This position, within the Department of Education, is at the forefront of shaping the early childhood education and care sector. By working collaboratively with stakeholders and the broader community, you will contribute to creating an environment that promotes excellence and regulatory compliance.

  • Conduct assessment and rating against the seven quality areas of the National Quality Standards.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance, recommending actions to address non-compliance.
  • Investigate complex complaints through site visits and evidence gathering.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to promote sector improvement.
  • Regular travel to ECEC services is required to conduct visits, potentially involving overnight stays across regional locations.
Key Responsibilities:

Senior Field Officers are expected to undertake the following key responsibilities:
