Job Title:

Remote Healthcare Professionals

Overview:

Nganampa Health Council Incorporated seeks Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives to join their dedicated teams in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary healthcare with medical officers, program staff, Anangu staff, and other health personnel.
  • Treat acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions, manage recalls, and conduct patient follow-up care.
  • Child health monitoring and immunisations, administer vaccinations across all age groups.
  • Assess and refer social welfare issues, conduct public health screenings for communicable diseases.
  • Manage antenatal and postnatal care, support job-specific education for training Anangu staff.
  • Perform day-to-day clinic administration tasks.
Requirements:
  • Be a Registered Nurse or a dual RN & Registered Midwife, registered with the National Board of Nursing and Midwifery.
  • Have at least 3 years of post-graduation work experience, recent acute medical/A&E exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a clinical environment, hospital-based general nursing experience essential.
  • Post-basic nursing qualifications in emergency care, advanced nursing, or rural/remote area nursing desirable.
  • Be highly computer literate, digital health records.
  • Display strong cultural awareness and respect.
  • Advanced clinical skills, managing diverse patient presentations, trauma, acute, and chronic conditions.
Working Conditions:

Positions based in busy community clinics, open from 9 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday. On-call service required.
