About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at the Maxwell Underground Mine. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production operations, ensuring that we meet our production targets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Superintendents and oversee the production operations, including the longwall, development, and outbye areas.
  • Develop and implement operating systems to ensure efficient and safe production.
  • Manage performance targets and plans, aligned to the site's production requirements.
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery of production.
  • Proactively drive performance across the underground operation, ensuring that employees are competent and motivated to perform their roles efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • A NSW Undermanager Certificate of Competency and Practicing Certificate and/or Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant Engineering field.
  • Sound knowledge of underground mining processes, including practical knowledge of mining equipment.
  • Sound planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet production objectives.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
