This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safe, efficient and reliable operation of Victoria's transport network.

  • We are seeking a professional with relevant experience and qualifications to supervise staff during shifts and provide guidance and support during incidents.
  • The successful applicant will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to represent the Department in handovers with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Key responsibilities include identifying incidents which have the potential to cause serious traffic or safety issues, arranging for the provision of appropriate resources, and coordinating Departmental resources at the scene of major incidents.
  • The role also involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, other government agencies, and resources to optimise outcomes and minimise community impacts from incidents.

The successful applicant will have relevant experience and qualifications that align with the accountabilities and capabilities of the role.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g. emergency management, transportation) is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. first aid, incident response) may be beneficial.
