Airport Operations Manager

Overview

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a regional airport.

About the Role

This is a full-time FIFO opportunity based on-site from Perth, with a 14 days on, 14 days off roster until June 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily airport operations and facilities.
  • Performing as Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO).
  • Overseeing Ground Service Equipment (GSE) maintenance.
  • Ensuring compliance with CASA regulations and MOS 139.
  • Managing third-party suppliers.
  • Maintaining training records for airport staff.
  • Conducting inspections and maintenance of the terminal and surrounding areas.
  • Upholding safety, security, OH&S, and environmental standards.
  • Responding to incidents and reporting via Alliance's AQD system.
  • Performing airport manual controller duties.
  • Acting as the primary contact during audits, inspections, and emergency exercises.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills and technical knowledge of airport operations.
  • Experience managing teams and processes in a FIFO environment.
  • Prior airport management or ARO experience at an Australian airport.
  • Current Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO), AROC, and Dangerous Goods (DG) certifications.
  • Knowledge of CASA regulations and MOS 139.
  • Proven team and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Professionalism and compliance focus.
  • Physical fitness to pass a mine site medical and undergo drug testing.
  • Willingness to work in extreme heat conditions.
  • Computer literacy and record-keeping skills.
