Job Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all airport operations in a remote regional setting. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Leading the management of airport operations and facilities
  • Maintaining Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) certification
  • Oversight and maintenance of Ground Service Equipment (GSE)
  • Ensuring compliance with CASA regulations and MOS 139
  • Managing third-party suppliers including fuel providers
  • Coordinating and maintaining training records for all airport staff
  • Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of the terminal and surrounding areas
  • Upholding safety, security, OH&S, and environmental compliance
  • Responding to incidents and reporting via an incident management system
  • Performing airport manual controller responsibilities

Requirements:
  • Prior airport management or ARO experience at an Australian airport
  • Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO), AROC, and Dangerous Goods (DG) certifications
  • Knowledge of CASA regulations and MOS 139
  • Proven ability to manage teams and third-party suppliers
  • Strong communication, time management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and compliance
  • Physical fitness – Able to pass a medical examination and undergo regular testing
  • Willingness to work in extreme conditions – heat tolerance
  • Computer literacy and record-keeping skills
