Backend Systems Engineer Opportunity

As we continue to evolve and grow as a company, we're looking for a highly skilled Backend Systems Engineer to join our team.

This role will focus on designing and leading the development of scalable backend systems that support our admin experiences. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand multi-team admin needs, spot opportunities for system improvements, and turn them into reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the development of scalable backend systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand admin needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Mentor and support other engineers in their technical growth.
  • Shaping user experiences by exploring product ideas and building solutions that meet the needs of large-scale organisations.

Requirements:

  • Deep backend expertise in JVM-based languages such as Java or Kotlin.
  • Experience in designing and leading backend strategies for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong systems thinking skills, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive clarity.
  • Technical leadership and multiplier skills, with the ability to mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate evolving product goals into clear technical strategies.
