Academic Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the delivery and development of medical science programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching within the medical science discipline, including lectures, tutorials, laboratories, and practical sessions. They will also coordinate units, develop curriculum, and assess student learning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical sciences and the ability to engage students through flexible, multi-modal teaching approaches. A research record with publications and the capacity to contribute to the school's research initiatives are also highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratories, and practical sessions
  • Coordinate units and develop curriculum
  • Assess student learning
  • Pursue research and scholarly activity aligned with expertise
  • Engage with industry partners to enhance clinical placements and student outcomes
Requirements
  • Doctoral qualification or equivalent in Medical/Biomedical Sciences or a closely related discipline
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a teaching qualification (e.g., Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education)
  • Understanding of higher education issues and the ability to collaborate effectively across the institution
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging students and supporting their learning through flexible, multi-modal teaching approaches
  • A strong research record, including publications, with the capacity to contribute to the school's research initiatives
