We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced academic to contribute to the delivery and development of our Medical Science programs.
About the Role:
- This position involves delivering lectures, tutorials, laboratories and practical sessions within the Medical Science discipline.
- You will coordinate units, develop curriculum, and assess student learning, ensuring a high-quality educational experience.
- Your responsibilities will include engaging with industry partners to enhance clinical placements and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lecture Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for students studying Medical Science.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of our Medical Science programs, including designing and implementing new curriculum content.
- Student Assessment: Assess student learning through various methods, including written exams, assignments, and practical assessments.
- Industry Partnerships: Engage with industry partners to develop clinical placements and ensure student outcomes align with industry needs.
Requirements:
- A doctoral qualification or equivalent in Medical/Biomedical Sciences or a closely related discipline.
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a teaching qualification (e.g., Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education).
- Understanding of higher education issues and the ability to collaborate effectively across the institution.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging students and supporting their learning through flexible, multi-modal teaching approaches.
- A strong research record, including publications, with the capacity to contribute to the School's research initiatives.
