Job Title: Senior Insurance Broker

We are seeking a driven and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Associate. The ideal candidate will be intelligent, insightful, and enjoy delivering great service by forging meaningful relationships.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Portfolio Management - In conjunction with colleagues, assist in the overall management of a portfolio from beginning to end of renewal cycle with a particular emphasis on profitable growth.
  • Business Development – Contribute to new business activities and identify and develop new business prospects by cross-marketing.
  • Relationship Building - Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, specifically insurance markets and distribution partners.
  • Client Advice – Provide personalised advice to clients in all matters affecting their insurance program needs, including explaining insurance policy conditions, risks covered, premium rates and benefits, and to make recommendations on the amount and type of cover.
  • Business Retention - Contribute to business retention activities. This includes all forms of customer service and broking standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Be capable of following directions and working collaboratively with others, while also being self-motivated and able to manage own workload.
  • Be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, quality standards and compliance.
  • Have a good sense of humour and be adaptable to change.
  • Be proactive and responsive to the changing needs of the team, office and business, and to any issues that arise.
  • Competent in math's and accuracy
  • Have a strong 'can-do' attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.

Requirements include:

  • Tier 1 qualification in Insurance Broking
  • At least 5 years of experience in the insurance/broking industry.
  • Understanding of invoicing procedures and file management
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel for reporting
  • Knowledge of Financial Lines Insurance products is essential
  • Preferably degree qualified.
