Overview of the Role

The Land Transport Safety and Regulation Branch plays a vital role in managing access to, and use of, the transport system through policy reform and business improvement. As a Government Policy Liaison Professional, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure and experience in a contemporary policy and legislation section, providing confidential and timely support to the Executive Director of the Legislation, Standards, and Accreditation Section.

Our team is responsible for delivering a diverse and challenging program of work that ensures the safety and efficiency of the Queensland transport system. This role provides an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals who are looking to start their career in government policy and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative support to the Executive Director and team members, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations
  • Assisting with policy development and implementation, driving positive change within the organization
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures, enhancing our governance framework

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have recently completed your tertiary studies and be passionate about moving into the government policy and legislation field. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure you can manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
