About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Officer to join our team in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research and Enterprise at the University of South Australia.

As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level project and operational support to the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research and Enterprise, including preparing submissions, presentations, briefings, discussion papers, and reports.

You will also be responsible for developing and documenting evidence-based implementable plans to deliver strategic initiatives, and providing high-level support in delivering these initiatives.

About You

We are looking for a skilled communicator with the ability to develop and maintain strong networks and working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

You will have highly developed negotiation skills and a proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve outcomes, as well as advanced written communication skills and experience in writing and reviewing reports, briefings, and discussion papers.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in a field relevant to the operations of the Portfolio and experience, or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge, and skills
  • Demonstrated high-level written communication skills and ability to write complex reports, business cases, and other documents for internal and external audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in using data as a basis for preparing presentations, written reports, and recommendations for senior staff
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake complex projects with a high degree of autonomy
  • Highly developed negotiation skills and a proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve outcomes
