We are seeking a highly skilled Store Manager to lead our team in Melbourne, Australia.

Job Description

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of the store.

You will engage and motivate staff to achieve key performance indicators while delivering exceptional customer care.

The ideal candidate will develop and implement merchandising strategies and updates, coach and mentor staff on customer service standards and product knowledge.

You will address customer complaints or inquiries, documenting and reporting issues to senior management.

Additionally, you will recruit, select, onboard, and train employees, conduct performance appraisals, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.

Maintaining up-to-date staff documentation and performance reviews is also an essential aspect of this role.

You will manage the weekly roster and oversee fortnightly payroll timesheets.

Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly reports and analyses to senior management is required.

Oversight of inventory management, forecasting sales trends, and planning upcoming promotions by determining required stock quantities is also necessary.

Regularly touring the sales floor, engaging with staff and customers to identify and resolve immediate issues is essential.

Liaising with third-party suppliers and shopping centre management is also required.

  • A proven track record in retail management, preferably in a beauty industry setting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and forecasting.
