Desktop Support Specialist

This role requires a highly skilled and organized Desktop Support Specialist to provide day-to-day local support, ensuring timely communication on issue status and resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to remediate complex issues
  • Maintain accurate ticket updates for reported incidents
  • Conduct general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers
  • Remediate repairs on desktops, laptops, and authorized peripheral equipment
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot network connectivity and workstation hardware/software issues
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Ticketing Systems: ServiceNow / ITSM, CA
  • PC Building using SCCM, Active Directory, GP Update, Re-imaging of Laptops, Bit locker, Network Printers, Networking, Installations & Troubleshooting
  • Windows 10-11, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Office 365, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting, Enterprise anti-virus solutions, Helpdesk ticketing systems

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication relationship-building and internal customer service skills
  • Ability to work off-hours and weekends when required for projects or emergency support
  • Basic knowledge of Mac operating system to support Apple pc users
