Electrical BIM Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Coordinator/Drafter to join our organization in Victoria, AU. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining 3D BIM models and detailed 2D drawings for electrical systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate 3D BIM models and detailed 2D drawings for electrical systems using Revit or similar software.
  • Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into design deliverables.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate models and resolve system clashes or inconsistencies.
  • E nsure all drawings and models comply with industry standards, electrical regulations, and company protocols.
  • Update documentation to reflect design revisions and maintain version control.
  • Contribute to improving in-house BIM workflows and ensure efficient model data integration across project stages.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma/Associate Degree: Diploma, associate degree, or higher in Electrical Drafting, Building Services, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • BIM/CAD Tools: Proficient with BIM/CAD tools, especially Revit and AutoCAD; experience with electrical BIM features is strongly preferred.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring layouts, panel schedules, power distribution, and building services drafting.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project-driven environment.
