Overview

ADP Consulting is seeking a BIM Designer | Fire Protection with 4+ years of experience to join the Data Centres team in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You will produce coordinated BIM models and detailed documentation across project stages, using Revit to model fire protection systems including sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, gaseous suppression, detection and alarm systems, and passive fire protection elements. You will support project delivery from concept to construction, ensuring model accuracy, constructability, and compliance with BIM standards and fire safety regulations, while implementing BIM workflows and supporting clash detection processes.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with fire protection engineers and the broader design team to produce coordinated BIM models and detailed documentation across all project stages.
  • Model complex fire protection systems including sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, gaseous suppression, detection and alarm systems, and passive fire protection elements in Revit.
  • Support project delivery from concept to construction, ensuring model accuracy, constructability, and compliance with BIM standards and fire safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain BIM workflows, contribute to digital coordination, and support clash detection processes.
  • Develop and maintain BIM execution plans specific to fire protection systems in data centre projects, ensuring alignment with client, authority, and industry standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings to improve digital delivery outcomes and compliance with fire safety codes.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 4+ years as a BIM Designer/Modeller in building services, ideally within fire protection engineering. Experience with data centres or large-scale infrastructure projects is advantageous.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Revit is essential; Navisworks, AutoCAD, or BIM360 experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian Standards, NCC, and fire protection systems in large-scale facilities. Understanding of hydraulic calculations, detection systems, and regulatory compliance is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail: Strong documentation quality, design intent, and model integrity.
  • Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work with engineers, architects, and clients.
