Job Title: Field Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to coordinate and deliver electrical projects across the Australian Capital Territory. This role is ideal for someone with an electrical trade background who enjoys being out in the field, working closely with crews, and ensuring jobs are scoped, planned, and delivered safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute work packages for field crews, ensuring all necessary resources, subcontractors, and safety measures are in place before work begins
  • Coordinate and deliver work packages to crews, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project timelines and safety standards
  • Lead crews on-site throughout the day by actively guiding and supporting them to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Lead daily pre-starts on site to set the tone for safety, clarity, and productivity, ensuring everyone is aligned and ready to deliver
  • Collaborate with the Construction Manager and other stakeholders to plan outages, manage access, and support smooth project delivery
  • Ensure quality assurance and ITP processes are followed, and that all completed works are accurately captured for invoicing and close-out
  • Manage subcontractors on-site, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and performance expectations
  • Support compliance with safety and environmental standards, conducting site checks and promoting a safety-first culture
  • Utilize your field knowledge to identify risks, solve problems, and keep projects moving efficiently

About You

  • An electrical trade qualification (essential), as well as at least 5 years' experience in the electrical industry
  • Previous experience in planning, scoping, and/or leading field crews
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor disciplines and job requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach to following processes and ensuring quality
  • A current driver's license
