About the Role

Healthscope is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nursing Leadership and Quality Improvement Specialist. In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while also providing leadership and guidance to our nursing team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in surgical and orthopaedic ward settings. They will possess excellent clinical expertise, with a commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with highly developed interpersonal skills, able to work effectively within a high-functioning team environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering safe, evidence-based standards of nursing care
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members to deliver patient care
  • Providing education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs
  • Led quality improvement and safety management projects to achieve desired outcomes
  • Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Serving as a role model for safe practice
Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential criteria:

  • Authority to work in Australia
  • Working with Children check
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in surgical and orthopaedic ward settings
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused
About the Salary

We are offering a competitive salary package of AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and other benefits.
