Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Strategist to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and support to editorial leaders.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your financial expertise to directly impact the creation of high-quality journalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to editorial leaders, providing clear and actionable financial insights.
  • Manage and control the entire Editorial cost base, with a focus on staff and content-related expenses.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in finance or commercial accounting, with a degree and/or a CA/CPA qualification.
  • Proven business partnering skills, including the ability to build trust and translate financial concepts for non-finance teams.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
