Emergency Department Registration Officer

About this role:

The Emergency Department at Northern Beaches Hospital requires a highly organized and efficient registration officer to ensure timely patient registration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting and welcoming patients and visitors, directing them to the appropriate area or person, or personally attending to their needs.

This is a part-time position with a rotating 24/7 roster, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Register patients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support the Patient Liaison & Admission teams as required
  • Assist with the admission of patients from Emergency into the Hospital

Key requirements for this role include a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent experience, ability to work a rotating roster, understanding of medical terminology, intermediate IT skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
