The primary objective of this role is to foster strategic account development within the Energy & Industry sector, with a specific focus on the Australian Mining Industry. As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Spearheading strategic account development for a national sales team focused on Australia's mining sector.
- Leading, recruiting, and nurturing individual and collective growth within the sales team.
- Surpassing set targets, ensuring maximal profitable growth in the region while efficiently managing allocated resources.
- Actively engaging in managing major/key customers and overseeing significant projects within the region and mining sector.
- Elevating communication across all sales channels to foster area business growth and strengthen customer relationships.
- Maintaining close collaboration with local support functions to provide insights on competitors, market opportunities, and trends.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Tertiary and post-graduate qualifications.
- 10+ years experience working within the Mining Industry.
- 10+ years leadership experience within the Mining and/or Construction Industry.
- Experience working on mine sites across all of Australia.
- A solution selling and customer-centric approach.
- A valid Australian drivers license.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including creativity, calculated risk-taking, and maximizing team potential.
