Are you a passionate leader with experience managing staff and driving impactful youth programs? We are seeking a dynamic Team Leader to oversee our youth services supporting young people affected by homelessness and those involved in the criminal justice system.

About Our Youth Service

Our Youth Service provides a non-residential youth homelessness & prevention service and a casework support program for Youth Justice. As part of this team, you'll lead a dedicated group of experienced youth caseworkers, intake workers, program leads, and casuals, ensuring high-quality service delivery, staff development, and program outcomes.

  • Lead and support a team of youth caseworkers, program leads, intake workers, and casuals across multiple programs.
  • Oversee service delivery aligned with best practice and funding requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including government and community partners.
  • Monitor outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in managing experienced staff and understanding of emotional intelligence leadership.
  • Experience in leading youth-focused programs from a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach.
  • Experience with case management intervention practice.
  • Strong understanding of issues facing young people experiencing homelessness or justice involvement.
  • Experience in managing crisis situations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with various different stakeholders to produce positive outcomes.
  • Understanding and/or experience working with First Nations people and communities from a cultural safe lens.
  • Relevant degree qualifications in social work, youth work, or a related field.

  • National Criminal History Check.
  • Working with Children's Check.
  • Current NSW Driver's License.
  • Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
