Program Development Manager

The Program Development Manager plays a critical role in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs that address the unique needs and challenges faced by vulnerable families and youth.

This role requires a compassionate and driven leader who can work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure the delivery of high-quality interventions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify specific needs of vulnerable families and youth.
  • Oversee program implementation ensuring desired outcomes are met.
  • Manage a small team of dedicated professionals providing frontline support to community members and conduct regular team meetings to promote collaboration and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate client case progress and facilitate case conferences and team discussions to develop comprehensive support plans for families and youth.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with local agencies, schools, government entities, and community organisations to strengthen the network of support available to families and youth.
  • Assist in grant proposal development to secure funding for family and youth programs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to funders.
  • Implement an evaluation framework to assess program effectiveness and impact.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to inform decision-making and continuously improve program outcomes.
Key Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline.
  • Strong leadership & management experience within youth & families or community welfare.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and strong rapport-building skills.
  • Strong knowledge of case management skills and effective use of interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with ability to engage in building relationships with staff, volunteers, external stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and resolve conflict with solution-focused strategies.
  • Highly developed organisational skills with ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with confidential records and information is highly regarded.
