How You'll Make an Impact:
As part of our inside account team, you will be responsible for growing, developing, and managing relationships with existing accounting and bookkeeping partners. This role involves moving them through Xero's status levels by signing clients onto Xero, developing business plans with partners to enhance their online strategy, and managing dedicated regions to recruit, educate, and grow the Xero partner channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective territory management through categorization and prioritization of new and existing accounting and bookkeeping partners.
- Identify sales opportunities to build a sales pipeline.
- Prioritize and manage your day to optimize calling time to meet monthly sales and call targets.
- Develop business plans to produce larger or longer-term deals and work with partners to implement and manage them on an ongoing basis.
- Run and present at Xero sales events and drive partner attendance to these events.
- Increase penetration within the existing partner base.
- Ensure knowledge of Xero features and functionality is kept up to date via Xero training and update webinars.
- Meet activity targets.
- Increase and maintain the percentage of certified partners, ensuring attendance at re-certification when required.
- Keep all information related to inbound and outbound calls up-to-date in Salesforce.
- Direct experience in inbound phone and email sales with proven sales performance.
- An interest in emerging online accounting markets.
- Ability to create quick and strong rapport with partners over the phone.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
- A process-driven mindset and a sense of ownership.
- A go-getter mentality with initiative and self-motivation.
- Accounting product knowledge and understanding of accounting practices.
- Experience in managing long-term client relationships.
