Senior Project Officer

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer to work on initiatives addressing the strategic workforce priorities of the public schooling system.

This role will use analytical skills, initiative and substantial knowledge of education workforce matters to provide clear and timely advice to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support workforce initiatives across all stages of the project lifecycle with strong program and project management skills.
  • Liaise and consult with a range of stakeholders, including school and system leaders, universities and other organisations.
  • Use strong interpersonal and written communication skills to achieve results.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated substantial knowledge of current workforce issues, trends, policies and processes in relation to projects, programs and initiatives for educational outcomes in Western Australia.
  • Demonstrated highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify and clarify patterns and trends, process improvements and provide innovative thinking in problem solving.
  • Demonstrated highly developed program and project management skills including project methodology, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation.
