Physiotherapy Lead - ICU and Respiratory Services

The Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an experienced physiotherapy leader to lead acute care services within the ICU and respiratory units at Gosford Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of acute physiotherapy services across ICU and respiratory units
  • Oversee a multidisciplinary team that includes new graduates, junior physiotherapists, and physiotherapy assistants
  • Manage complex clinical caseloads and drive best practice standards
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, fostering a positive and supportive work environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement
  • Proven experience in acute physiotherapy, preferably within ICU, respiratory, cardiology, oncology, and haematology settings
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience supervising and mentoring junior staff and assistants
  • Registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
