The Director of Research and Research Translation will spearhead the development and execution of research initiatives aligned with NSW Health Research and Innovation Strategy.
This role will foster strong partnerships to bring research from the lab to real-world application, enhancing clinical practices and patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Research Leadership: Develop and execute research initiatives that align with NSW Health Research and Innovation Strategy.
- Clinical Trials and Translational Research: Foster partnerships to bring research from the lab to real-world application, enhancing clinical practices and patient care.
- Evidence-Based Excellence: Embed research into clinical practice, shaping the future of healthcare delivery.
Key Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field including a research higher degree (PhD or equivalent work experience), or a combination of study and work experience.
- Proven professional leadership qualities with demonstrable success in research management and attracting research funding in a health-related environment.
- A comprehensive understanding of the health and medical research environment in NSW and Australia, with expertise and experience in translating research evidence into policy and practice in health settings, including the development of multi-disciplinary teams and networks.
- A current driver's license valid for use within NSW/Australia.
