A dynamic team seeks an Energy Systems Developer to join our Melbourne-based group of energy professionals. This position involves designing and developing electrical systems for renewable facilities, including wind, solar, and battery storage facilities.

Job Overview
  • The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated and innovative team, delivering a range of projects across Victoria, including owner's engineer, grid connection, and project management roles.

This is a key role in the development of specifications and providing technical leadership in working with Senior Leadership Team and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience as an Electrical Engineer in the renewable energy sector, either on the client side or working for a consultancy, with a strong track record of project management experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for renewable facilities, such as wind, solar, and battery storage facilities.
  • Project manage projects while reviewing and signing off on concept designs for power generation facilities on projects across Victoria.
  • Provide technical leadership in the development of specifications, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and key clients.
  • Act as Owner's Engineer on projects to ensure delivery according to clients' requirements, providing technical advice and project management expertise to advise on project timelines, schedule, budget, contractor management, and risk management.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in the renewable energy sector, preferably with project management experience.
  • Educational qualification: Electrical Engineering degree with relevant experience and knowledge of Australian standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
  • Proven knowledge of major power generation technologies and OEMs/plant suppliers.
  • Exposure to HOMER and PVsyst is advantageous but not essential.
