Job OverviewThis role involves working as a Casual Security Officer at one of Melbourne's iconic cultural and historical landmarks, Museums Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of museum premises, ensuring the well-being of visitors, staff, and valuable collections.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and patrol museum premises to ensure visitor and staff safety
- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents and emergencies
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a secure and welcoming environment
- Assist with crowd control and visitor inquiries as needed
- Report any security-related issues or incidents
- Manage CCTV footage, access control, and other security operations from the control room
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Current Victorian Security Licence with a control room endorsement
- Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
- Current Valid First Aid Certificate (Level 2) and CPR
- Current Drivers Licence
- Working With Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
- Availability to work a rotating roster

$65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience
