Role Requirements
We are looking for Relief Security Officers to work at Homes VIC sites in Melbourne. Duties include:
- Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and others;
- Patrolling premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensuring the security of doors, windows, and gates;
- Responding to alarms and investigating disturbances;
- Providing assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner;
- Enforcing property rules and regulations to maintain order;
- Operating and monitoring security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems;
- Conducting regular inspections and writing reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently;
- Certificate II in Security Operations;
- Working with children check (or willingness to apply for one);
- Valid Security Licence and First Aid and CPR;
- Full Australian working rights;
- Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures;
- Excellent observational and surveillance skills;
- Ability to operate security equipment and systems;
- Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately;
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
