About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Adelaide office, specializing in building projects. With significant experience in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design, you will lead our mechanical engineering team and help grow the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your technical expertise to oversee complex building projects from initial concept to completion.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide engineers and graduate engineers to ensure their success in delivering high-quality projects.
  • Prioritize workloads to meet client needs while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and international partners.
  • Demonstrate exceptional technical knowledge to ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Foster innovation within the mechanical engineering teams and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Contribute to strategic business development, identifying clients and pursuits aligned with company objectives.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in the consulting or engineering industry, with a deep understanding of the local Adelaide buildings market.
  • Excellent connections within the industry, enabling effective client relationship management.
  • Significant HVAC design experience on building projects.
  • Ideal experience working in the Defence sector.
  • The ability to make informed business decisions.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
