About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Systems Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design group, you will be responsible for leading complex mechanical design projects, providing technical direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering documentation.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in systems engineering principles and their application in the design lifecycle. You will also possess excellent analytical skills, the ability to prepare concise reports, and leadership skills to manage a multi-discipline team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex mechanical design projects from concept to completion
- Provide technical direction and expertise to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed engineering documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Ensure timely project delivery and budget management
Requirements
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or similar (Degree must satisfy membership requirements of the Institution of Engineers Australia at MIEAust level)
- Demonstrated experience in complex mechanical programs
- Systems engineering principles and their application in the design lifecycle
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and manage multi-discipline teams
- Strong communication and reporting skills
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
