About this Role

Effective Governance Leader Sought

We are looking for a senior leader to manage the operation and enhancement of key governance bodies, ensuring robust practices and high-level secretariat support.

This role will oversee the effective management of existing governance bodies, including the Chief Data Office Leadership Group, Cyber Security Leadership Group, and Victorian Social Investment Integrated Data Resource Governing Council.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for establishing and operating a new governance body related to whole-of-Victorian Government artificial intelligence.

Key responsibilities include delivering streamlined operations, providing strategic secretariat support, and making recommendations on data governance arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing governance initiatives, managing teams, and building productive relationships with stakeholders.

They will possess exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement and the ability to make decisions in complex environments.

  • Developing Governance Initiatives: Experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing governance initiatives, preferably in a data environment.
  • Team Management: Effective people and change management skills, including experience building and maintaining highly-functioning teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement and capacity to make decisions.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Experience developing productive working relationships with various stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts through visual formats.
