Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Veterinary Director to lead our team in the Sydney region.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional veterinary care across multiple clinics, ensuring high-quality standards and professionalism. They will also play a key role in coaching and mentoring veterinarians, conducting regular training programs, and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake clinical days to work with teams, building rapport and understanding how to support each individual team.
  • Oversee and guide veterinarians and clinic teams within the designated region.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional veterinary care, adhering to high quality standards and professionalism.
  • Conduct regular training and development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge within the teams.
  • Implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, client satisfaction, and overall clinic performance.
  • Ensure the safety of our teams by reviewing compliance safety controls and adherence to Veterinary Surgeons Board Guidelines and Legislation.
  • Collaborate with General Manager, Area Managers, Chief Veterinary Officer, and other Regional Clinical Directors to drive high standards of care and best practices.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of veterinarians and staff within the region.
Requirements
  • A degree in Veterinary Medicine and registration to practice in New South Wales.
  • Proven leadership experience in a veterinary setting, with a track record of successful team management.
  • Advanced skills such as membership in small animal surgery with the ability to perform orthopaedic surgery would be viewed favourably.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Passion for delivering excellent veterinary care and driving continuous improvement.
  • Innovative mindset and the ability to adapt to the evolving veterinary industry.

Estimated Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
